Information you need
Breakfast literally means “breaking the fast”
after a night of rest. A balanced breakfast jumpstarts your metabolism, fuels
your brain, and stabilises your blood sugar levels. Skipping it can lead to low
energy, mood swings, and overeating later in the day. A healthy breakfast could
include whole grains, fruits, and a protein source like eggs or yoghurt.
That’s right! Your brain depends heavily on
water to function. When you re dehydrated, even a little you may feel tired,
irritable, or have trouble concentrating. Drinking enough water each day keeps
your mind sharp, improves mood, and helps your body process nutrients
efficiently. Aim for 6–8 cups of water daily, and more if you are active
or it is hot!
Although sugar gives a quick burst of energy,
it’s followed by a crash. This “sugar rollercoaster” can leave you feeling more
tired and craving even more sugar. Instead, opt for slow-release energy from
whole grains, fruits, and nuts that help keep your energy stable throughout the
day.
Not all fats are bad! Healthy fats like those
from avocados, nuts, seeds, and fish are good for your heart, brain, and
hormones. They help your body absorb vitamins and keep you full longer. Just
remember to enjoy them in moderation.
